Country Wheat Biscuits


  • Crisco® Original No-Stick Cooking Spray
  • 2 1/4 cups Hungry Jack® Complete Wheat Blends Pancake Mix, plus additional for kneading dough
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 3 tablespoons Crisco® Butter Flavor All-Vegetable Shortening
  • 3 tablespoons Crisco® Baking Sticks Butter Flavor All-Vegetable Shortening
    • 1/2 cup milk

    Preparation Instructions

    1. HEAT oven to 425°F. Coat baking sheet with no-stick cooking spray.
    2. STIR pancake mix, baking soda and salt in medium bowl. Cut in shortening with fork until crumbly. Stir in milk until blended and dough leaves sides of bowl. Place on surface coated with pancake mix. Knead 30 seconds or until smooth. Pat to 1/2-inch thickness. Cut into 8 rounds using a 2 1/4-inch cookie cutter. Place on prepared baking sheet.
    3. BAKE 10 to 12 minutes or until lightly browned.
